Brett Mannings Singing Success CD's

I know this is a Jewelry Blog and I actually am going to create an informational singing Blog also but for now I just wanted to update you on my experience in using the CD's.

All I can say is it is amazing! I had even done some of the exercises before with teachers but the way he describes things and why you are doing it just makes it click! I can feel a difference already and I've only practiced a few days now. My voice was breathy and I could belt but it wasn't always supported correctly and then mixing the voices was a nightmare for me. I had been to so many teachers over the years telling me different things and this is the method that seems to work and work efficiently. Almost without you knowing it works.

How do I know this so quickly? Because I have had a lot of bad singing lessons that not only didn't help me but made me worse and made me never want to sing again!

I was hesitating about putting myself up on Youtube but I may just start doing it. If I'm brave enough I'll tape my before singing and after. I'm not so sure I want to show my vocal problems to the world but if it will help someone I will.

As for jewelry design. I have made a new silver and blue bracelet for spring with silver flowers in it but haven't photographed it yet. When my cat leaves my sunny window sill I will.

Now...back to vocalizing! This singing program is $199 dollars but I tell you it is so worth it compared to the amount of money I wasted on voice lessons! Before anyone starts to take lessons...I would buy these CD's. It will save you a lot of hassle and frustration!

Any beaders Singers Also?

I know this is a jewelry blog but I want to share my other love with you and that is singing.

Now...I had many voice teachers and even attended Berklee College of Music for a while but have never quite found the right vocal method to fix my vocal problems. I have problems resonating until I hit my high range and then I can but my voice has just never felt totally connected with the breath and I've yearned for more control because I know I have a better voice in there that I just can't get out.

Well...I prayed to God about it and the next day I found this site online called Brett Mannings Singing Success. I listed to the free lesson and tried some of the exercises and was so excited because it was already helping my resonating problem!!! I just had to order it! It should be coming soon and I can't wait!!! This is the answer I have been waiting for I can just tell!!

I tell you if you want to sing better and have been put down by professional voice teachers...I think this is for you. I hope this will help myself and others too. I will be updating you on my progress and let you know if it was worth buying.

Dragonfly Pendant

Well...sometimes it takes almost a year to sell an item but when you least expext it...someone buys it.

This lovely Dragonfly was just sold and reminded me that yes Spring is coming up and Dragonflies will be all around. I may have to make some more!

In our backyard, the dragonflies will come and land on my finger and tilt their heads and look at me and let me pet them. They are so beautiful...they are like a little reminder from God that he is all around us and his little creations watch us too.

Jewelry Making...should it be kept a hobby?

I love to make jewelry and have been trying to create a "real" full time business of jewelry making but have only been able to do it very very very part time. This is mostly due to the fact that I'm a full time SAHM(Stay at Home Mom) and that my children are my first priority. Take today...both of my children and I are all home sick today. So yes I can sit on my laptop and type while sitting next to them with my arm or arms around them while they are watching cartoons but beading...not easy to whip out everything and work intricately with tools when little ones need your attention.



I put my computer down and just drew three pages of cows so maybe I should change my hobby/profession to illustrating and writing childrens books. At least that is something I could do on a continual basis while fulfilling my children's needs.

I started to sell some of my old beads and zip. They immediately sold! Hmmm....supplies selling much faster than jewelry means that more women or men have caught the jewelry bug and are creating jewelry. Everyone and their grandmother is but that's alright because everyone has their own style and their own personal touch to add to their own creations.

I am excited to say that we will be moving back into our old house(we are living in small quarters with our in-laws right now while trying to sell our house that didn't sell.) This way...we are planning to dedicate a room for my jewelry studio/office! Yeah! Put a lock on the door!
Then I will be able to just lay everything out and keep it out so I can create more and more often. YAHOOO!!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!!

But as for keeping it a hobby/business or a "full time business plan business" is another story.
It all comes down to how much time one has to invest in their craft. Right now...it seems just when I start to have time some other setbacks happen...life happens and priorities have to be in place and that is my family. Hopefully in the near future there will be more of a balance so I can do both well and be happy.

For now...we will all try to be healthier for that is the most important thing.

What kind of jewelry are women looking for?

I was just curious as to what type of jewelry women are looking for that they can't often find in stores? Maybe full sets with necklaces,earrings,rings and bracelets? Something eclectic that nobody else would have and would be raving about when they saw it on your neck?

I'm just doing some research to brainstorm about a certain type of jewelry that is missing from the market that I could start making and that women would love. Most of the time I make jewelry that I would wear or whatever comes to my imagination. I would love to create some jewelry that would change a persons life or send a message to someone else in their life when they gave it to them.

Just thinking outloud before I really streamline my business and really find my niche.

Any thoughts, ideas are welcome!

Valentines Day!

I know, I know...most guys dread this holiday but if you just embrace it you will get much love in return. It doesn't take much. A card, some flowers or a nice piece of handcrafted jewelry.

Why not buy handcrafted jewelry? A unique piece of jewelry for a unique woman. Most of the advertised jewelry will cost you $500-$1000 dollars! I think my husband cringes when he sees those commercials they start playing every five minutes near Valentines Day. I think he's relieved that I make jewelry.

I have been in creating mode now. I have more pieces ready but I just have to photograph some and post them up.

Some woman will be happy I hope...
I'm sure her man knows her style in order to buy her this heart.

I do have another heart that I have yet to post up but will soon.

I re-opened my Ruby Lane store and am hoping to redirect some business there.

I am investigating new advertising avenues but it is tough. It takes a long time to research the best way to market and advertise your jewelry. When I figure it out...I'll let you other jewelry designers know.

My Ruby Lane Shop

I decided to reopen my shop on Ruby Lane although I couldn't get my old url back so instead of Gemini Sky my store is called Gemini Sky Jewelry.
I will have to create some very unique pieces to put exclusively up there but for now I have similar listings in both shops.

Ruby Lane does have great advertising and marketing but it does cost to participate in it. We'll see...it just may pay off.

This is my year...I can feel it!

I was looking for a sign to create and I got one. I got an order placed just the other day! Hooray!

I am working on some Mother's Day bracelets already and should have some posted up soon. They are not your average Mother's Day bracelets for they are more about what Mom may like then about her children.
