Looking for a sign-To create more or get a job

Well...we were trying to sell our house and it never sold. In the meantime we have been living with our in-laws and have been paying bills at our old house and our regular bills that follow us everywhere, plus storage, pre-school etc. So basically we are spending more money not living in our own home.

I wanted to try to make my business work but..I feel as if I have less time and less money to spend so...maybe I should start looking for a job.

We'll see...I am going to create using the rest of my bead inventory, do a few shows, possibly have some house parties and see where it goes from there.

I have been experimenting with Adwords and Adsense for Marketing but it seems to eat my money away...getting more people to my site but nobody is buying anything.

Should I feel insulted? Nobody likes my jewelry? Just Kidding.
It takes time....I know...

A bit Frustrated!

I thought that I would have more time to create when my children started school but it seems as if I'm busier than ever! I just sorted and organized some of my beads to make it more efficient to create in a short amount of time.

I'll just have to stay up all night to create! Oh well...gotta go pick up pies at my daughters school!

Male Jewelry take 2

I haven't taken a picture of the piece I made yet for men but I think it was a little too feminine. But some guys can pull it off and make it look masculine. It's just silver metal and black shiny silverish grey beads. Maybe there is too much shine. I will have to post some pictures soon. I have been doing more jewelry creating than photographing so please be patient.

Male Jewelry

Yesterday I made my first piece of male jewelry that I had made in a while. It's tricky to make jewelry for men for I seem to make it too elegant or complex instead of simple and manly.

I don't have a picture of this necklace yet but I will post a picture of one of the ones I made for an older rockstar of the 80's which I handed to him in person.

Here it is...

It is fairly long and has magnetic hematite beads, onyx and sterling silver in it.
He's into the whole Magnetic therapy jive and Celtic Crosses so...
I made it especially for him.

If you are trying to guess who this is it is Rick Springfield.
I may have to post a better picture because he is really hot in person if I may say so myself at the ripe age of 57!!!

Just a Good Morning

I am being beckoned by my children as I sat here wondering what to write this morning so I will be back...We are having a 3rd Birthday Celebration for my little boy but it's mostly adults with a few kids. AHHHH! Stressed a bit!

Different avenues of Selling

I'm going crazy with researching marketing products! I just want to get my jewelry out there and get a steady roll of orders so that I know that I should be doing this for a living. I almost put a post up saying "Everything is free!" Just to see if anyone was paying attention.

I guess I'll just keep creating, maybe have some home parties and do some shows.
It's hard to know when to stop creating and move on to something else.
But...I love to create so I guess I'll do it as long as I can afford to do it without my husband divorcing me! Only Joking!

Well...after the children go to bed...it's off to creative land!

Create Trendy Jewelry or Create Jewelry I like?

Creating jewelry for the love of creating jewelry makes one ask themselves...should I create the trends or jewelry that I would wear and that is timeless and unique? Well...if it's totally about making money I would say create the trends. But...I just love to create jewelry and of course I would love to make money doing so but...I think I would rather express my creativity and be proud that someone would like my ideas than copy the trends. Of course I do research what is "hot" and what is "not" and then I decide what I think is beautifully artistic with that in mind and make my own creations. Today, I am going to try to create some unique designs and see what comes to me. I feel as if I'm just talking to myself on this blog but hopefully someone will read this whether it be other jewelry designers or people that love jewelry. Busy Busy Busy

It's been a long since I blogged but I have been very busy with many life changes that I won't go into here. It's all good.

I have decided to try to make jewelry designing my full time job for now and give it my best try to get it rolling until my two children are both in school full-time. That way I won't have to get a real job!LOL!

I am organizing all of my beads, gemstones by color and will be posting some new items up soon!

Waiting for a sale...

Well, May has been a slooooow month for sales. My main reason to having a store is that I love to create so I'm not all about the sales but...it encourages me to see that people like my work and inspires me to create more and more.
Unfortunately I can't always create when I want to due to the fact that I have two darling kids ages 2.5 and 5 who drive me crazy and demand almost every minute of my time but I love them to death!

We are also in between two homes right now. The house we own and our in-laws.
We decided to move in to save some money and possibly give me a chance to work on making Gemini Sky my full time job when my kids are both in school full time. That gives me a few years to really work on my craft and build up my clientele.

I want to create, create, create but I will have to wait until I really set up shop. For now I am carrying around my little organized bead bad and hoping that I get a chance to create when my children are playing.

Well, my plot to fill my children with an ice cream goodie has ended for they are done!
Oh no! We must go outside to play before they destroy my in-laws house!

Is it September yet? Full-time Kindergarten = 6 hours without my lovely daughter= no fighting with her brother=some peaceful time to create? Hopefully!

Purple Lucite Flower Delight

Well, I just moved into my in-laws house with my family and finally found a few minutes to make some new earrings.
Here they are:

"Purple Lucite Flower Delight"




The "Purple Lucite Flower Delignt" is made of Sterling Silver ear wires attached to dainty Sterling Silver chain leading to a beautiful flower dangle. This dangle is created out of a blue zircon Swarovski round, a pink lucite flower resting gently within a purple lucite flower.

The earrings hang approximately 2 inches from the ear.

Just Beautiful! Dainty yet a bit eclectic!
