Create Trendy Jewelry or Create Jewelry I like?

Creating jewelry for the love of creating jewelry makes one ask themselves...should I create the trends or jewelry that I would wear and that is timeless and unique? Well...if it's totally about making money I would say create the trends. But...I just love to create jewelry and of course I would love to make money doing so but...I think I would rather express my creativity and be proud that someone would like my ideas than copy the trends. Of course I do research what is "hot" and what is "not" and then I decide what I think is beautifully artistic with that in mind and make my own creations. Today, I am going to try to create some unique designs and see what comes to me. I feel as if I'm just talking to myself on this blog but hopefully someone will read this whether it be other jewelry designers or people that love jewelry. New Creations!

I have a few new creations I thought I'd let you see before I put them up on my Etsy site. It's easier to pop them up here quickly but it takes a while to crop the pictures and write descriptions for my site. So just to let you know that I am on a creative flow...here they are!

I can't wait to create more!!!! Kindergarten is a wonderful thing! I still have my 3 year old boy with me most of the time but unbelievable he is letting me create! He also likes to make jewelry too! Hmmmm....it could be a family business!

This is one of my new creations which is a dragonfly pendant. This pendant is made of sterling silver wire, Fuchsia/Lavendar freshwater pearls and lavendar and clear Swarovski Crystals.
It can be made into a pin,a pendant for a necklace or it would make a great mirror decoration!

Busy Busy Busy

It's been a long since I blogged but I have been very busy with many life changes that I won't go into here. It's all good.

I have decided to try to make jewelry designing my full time job for now and give it my best try to get it rolling until my two children are both in school full-time. That way I won't have to get a real job!LOL!

I am organizing all of my beads, gemstones by color and will be posting some new items up soon!
